To Staff, Parents, and Students:

In order to improve the attendance, the School Board has approved changes to be made to our Credit Recovery Program.

Past Policies:
•    Saturday School is held most Saturdays from 8:00-11:00 am and is manned by Mr. Dave Shepherd.
•    For every hour spent in Saturday School, students can recover one absence in any class or three tardies. Currently all absences are considered.

New Policies:
•    “Early Morning School” will be held most Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6:30 to 8:00 am. Doors will be locked at 6:31.  If a student is late they will not be admitted.
•    For every hour spent in Early Morning School, students can recover one absence in any class or three tardies.  Only tardies and excused absences will be considered.
•    The policy for parents to provide excuses within three days of their students return to school will be strictly enforced to eliminate a “mad crush” at the end of the tri.

Legend for Absences Entered into Lumen:
•    U= unexcused absence.  Will be counted against student. No Makeup
•    E= excused absence which means that parents have contacted the school within three days of absence to account for student being gone. Will be counted against student but may be made up by attending “Early Morning School”

     M=Medical.  Student has supplied the school with a doctor's note for an absence.  Not counted against student.

•    TR= Truancy. Will be counted against student. No Makeup
•    IS= In School Suspension.  Student is counted as present.
•    OS= Out of School Suspension. Will be counted against student.
•    SA= School Activity.  Will Not be counted against student
•    T= Tardy.  Three T’s equal one U. Can be made up
•    TA= Tardy Absence. Will be counted against student. Can be made up
